NSPIRES is the online portal used by NASA for proposal submission and award notification. In order to submit a proposal to NASA, a PI must set up an account on the NSPIRES website. To set up a NSPIRES account, log into NSPIRES. From there, click on “Getting an Account” on the left side of the screen. Then click on “Begin Registration” listed under “User Registration.” Follow the on-screen instructions to complete registration. Upon completion of registration, OSP will receive an e-mail to affiliate the new account to the University’s account. The Office of Sponsored Programs will log into NSPIRES to confirm affiliation. At that point, account registration is complete. Now that the account is set up, the proposal can be started in NSPIRES.
